Worms 2: Armageddon

Postby Hk Sniperworm » Fri Feb 19, 2010 11:51 am

There is no release date yet, but Team 17 are starting beta testing on the Steam version of Worms 2: Armageddon next month.

I'm warning you now, save your money for when it does come out!
Now you have no reason not to be prepared for it, Ha!

Awesome!
Do you know if they will go back to the old 2d style? If so, I'm sold :D

Depends on the price for me. The original Worms was the first PC game I bought back in the day as I recall. Got some fond memories of the franchise but like Mort, would far prefer it in 2D goodness.

Morty baby, your sold ;)

The 360 version of the game goes for 800 banana points, which equals out to around 10 of whatever currency your using at the moment.
It's got a full single player, online matches with a ranked matches too, customisation (yay, hats) and most of the weapons from the older games make a return too along with some of the new ones.

Plus hopefully it means the rest of Team 17's games will make it onto Steam :D

Seems we're getting more than just the one game, or they are going to market Worms 2: Armageddon with a few changes as something else.

If it's a choice between a 3D one and 2D one, it's 2D for me every time :)

I'd be suprised if they're releasing more then 1 game though, sounds like they just renamed it.

Well, we we are right Chimpy ;)

The very attractive price comment does give some weight to the game being priced around the same mark as Worms 2: Armageddon on live as well.

Worms reloaded is now available to preorder on steam (£16.19 - a bit pricey but worth the money I suppose).

Released on 26/08/10

I'm shocked it costs that much, actually more than I had put aside for it which is badly timed as I've just spent the rest

Yeah I think it's a bit much as well, for a game that will be fun for a few rounds, but probably loses it quickly. I'll wait for a 50-75% off deal and then take it up for some consideration.

I agree. I like worms, but mainly as a nice giggle not as a serious game, certainly not going to spend that much on it.
